Winterhorn Ridge is the icy western mountain of Erion, and is home to the remaining members of the Dragon race, as well as a number of Ice Trolls and Griffons. The region is largely inhospitable to most life, as the region's temperature is very low most of the time. Desecrators, people who have lost their identity and humanity to the curse of the Belderiver wander the region. Turney Mandragoras also grow in this region, being a life-form well-suited to life in the sheer cold.

Unless a Warmer potion is drunk or an Iceproof Charm is worn in this area, all characters will slowly take damage while engaged in fights other than those against the primary boss of the area. Both can often be purchased in this region, from the merchants who have inexplicable set up shop on the icy mountains.

This region is largely without interest, except for the existence of the dragons living here. In fact, the majority of the times Winterhorn becomes important to the storyline are because of the Dragons making their home here.

Sub-bosses encountered here are usually Desecrators, though Gwendolyn will also encounter Barbarian Warrior Berserkers here. Velvet will occasionally encounter Goblins here as well.

All characters travel here at some point during their story, and more often than not they will encounter Wagner here as a boss. Gwendolyn on the other hand, will encounter General Brigan as a boss here.
